he Bruce Denniston Bone Marrow Society is a Registered Canadian Charity and was founded in 1988 to join others in fighting life-threatening blood disorders such as leukemia. It is based in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada, approximately 160 kilometres north of Vancouver.

From what others have called 'humble beginnings,' the Society has grown to include branches in provinces across the country and has raised a significant amount of money in its ongoing challenge to support the Unrelated Bone Marrow Donor Registry and its costly testing procedures.

We believe that the Society will continue to grow in the face of twenty-first century challenges and give new life to people confronted with uncertain futures.
